Colours of Pain

February 26th, 2009 by Ethan

The red blood,

The blue Tears,

The reversed mirrors

The distorted fears,

The grinding gears,

The rehearsed battle,

The fake cattle,

Cloned at birth,

Trained for pain,

Pain is black,

Insanity is white,

Purity is clear,

Life is empty,

Knife has answers,

Give to me,

Pain is black and so is glee.

The Sky is Falling

February 26th, 2009 by Kaytie.x0x

An anvil

fell into my fish tank

Plop!

A cacophony of confusion

Nemo and Wanda are frantic.

They meet in a huddle,

ponder the situation,

and plan a coup.

Despite their best efforts,

the anvil remains solid.

They decide to just swim around it.

Colours of My Sky

February 26th, 2009 by Sadye

The rainbow bows with colours smeared across the sky,

Reds smudged into the sun,

Oranges and yellows touch the tree tops,

The mountains are caked in greens,

Blue, of course, stretches its limbs in the water, in the sky,

Violet briefly grazes the ground, touches the grass, the dirt,

But only, when rainbows come out to play.

Fishing Trip - by Kate/Evan/Ben

February 26th, 2009 by Kaytie.x0x

The misty river flows gently

As I paddle my birch-bark canoe

I see a black fish

It jumps into my canoe

And I hit it with a

Tazer, it dies

And bites me

My boat stinks

I can’t swim

But it doesn’t

Matter, I’m in a canoe

What was I thinking?

Killing that poor fish?

Do you like cheese?

Do you want cheese?

I found cheese in the fish’s mouth.

I found Gouda…Yummmm

I found a tire

Because I was on the misty river

Because it used to be an auto dump

Because I’m Chuck Norris

Geographic Beauty

February 26th, 2009 by Michael

I stumbled upon the Great Wall of China,

Her beauty petrified me.

The old decaying stone,

Soft and ever so silky.

A giant meandering snake,

Implanted on the surface.

She came alive,

Moved, shake, and shifted.

I fell in love.

Vector8

February 26th, 2009 by Ethan

Mike and Ethan

Lifeless wondering,

A mathematician’s secret formula.

Rotting corpse,

Faint light at end.

Face torn,

Blood spilt,

Formula corrupted.

We left for the dead,

Fought for the living,

Fear pulsed in our veins.

Tainted bloody hands,

Washed with blood,

Survivors?

Civilization?

Where did we go wrong?

Barricaded in my mind,

Unable to break the surface,

I found my anger,

I found my corruption,

Because I killed,

Because I destroyed,

Because I devoured,

The living.

February 26th, 2009 by Darnellio

Myriad colours, flashing bright

A rainbow of hues that give no delight

To some, yet to others is astonishing

I ask myself what do I think, what do I care

And I tell myself, I wish this person didn’t share

But what could I do to understand such abstract thought

I am incapable of understanding

I am incapable of emotion

Why can’t you understand that notion?

The Outback

February 26th, 2009 by Ben-G

The wild outback
Reminds me of football
With tough and angry buffalo
The fire-red in their eyes
But the buffalo cannot get me
Because I have gotten a touchdown
As the heat of the wild gets to me
I begin to sweat
But it’s worth the points

Nuclear Explosions

February 25th, 2009 by Sadye

I may not be a scientist,

Emotions overwhelm her,

They don’t have cures for deadly diseases,

Slither through her veins,

The scroll is tattered and torn at the edges,

Seep through her skin,

Have they found it yet?

Clouds slip in front,

Nuclear explosions going off in the distance,

Calmness, delight.
