Mike and Ethan

Lifeless wondering,

A mathematician’s secret formula.

Rotting corpse,

Faint light at end.

Face torn,

Blood spilt,

Formula corrupted.

We left for the dead,

Fought for the living,

Fear pulsed in our veins.

Tainted bloody hands,

Washed with blood,

Survivors?

Civilization?

Where did we go wrong?

Barricaded in my mind,

Unable to break the surface,

I found my anger,

I found my corruption,

Because I killed,

Because I destroyed,

Because I devoured,

The living.
